Established in 2004, Great Lakes Institute of Management (GLIM) is founded by Padma Shri awardee Dr. Bala V Balachandran, Professor Emeritus of Accounting Information & Management at the Kellogg School of Management. Currently, it has two campuses in Chennai and Gurgaon. The institute offers full-time programmes in management, namely PGDM, PGPM, PGXPM, PGPM Flex, etc. It is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). It has also received accreditation by the AMBA (Association of MBAs), UK, SAARC recognized SAQS; and NBA for its varied postgraduate programmes.
The institute is also associated with the University of Missouri Kansas City (UMKC), HKUST Business School, University De Bordeaux, BAUER College of Business, University of Houston, BABSON and IIT Stuart School of Business. Great Lakes Institute of Management Diversity and Merit Scholarships
Great Lakes Institute of Management scholarships are offered to one year PGPM students on the basis of merit. Total 40 Great Lakes diversity and merit based scholarships will be awarded to the batch of 2023-24 worth Rs 5 lakh each and atleast 30% of the scholarships would be awarded to for female students. Candidates will be selected based on their Great Lakes Institute of Management application form, essays and interview assessment. Shortlisted candidates will be awarded the Great Lakes Institute of Management scholarship through email after confirmation of their admission to PGPM one month before the commencement of the programme.
Dr. Bala V Balachandran Merit Scholarship
Great Lakes Institute of Management offers Dr. Bala V Balachandran Merit Scholarship in memory of Dr. Bala V Balachandran who is the founder of the institute. This Great Lakes Institute of Management scholarship is awarded to students who have great potential to show their excellence at the institute. The Dr. Bala V Balachandran Merit Scholarships offers full waiver of tuition fee, that is Rs 10.9 lakh for PGPM 2023-24 and provides access to mentorship from CXOs and industry professional alumni.
