Overview

An advanced course that provides an in-depth examination of political ideas, institutions, and global political dynamics is the Master of Arts (MA) in Political Science programme. The MA Political Science programme covers a wide range of topics, including political philosophy, comparative politics, international relations, and public policy. It is typically completed in one to two years. Students participate in critical analysis and advanced research, and they frequently focus on particular areas of interest within the topic. Graduates of the programme are prepared for leadership positions in public administration, politics, and diplomacy in addition to being advanced critical thinkers with strong research abilities and a sophisticated grasp of complicated political issues.

Eligibility

Admission to M.A. Part-I is open to a candidate who has passed Bachelor’s Degree in any faculty (irrespective of his/her score in the examination). from Punjabi University or any other statutory/recognised University in India or abroad. Any university other than Punjabi Univesrity must be recognised by the Academic Council as equivalent thereto, The candidate should not have passed M.A. examination in the same subject from this or any other statutory university.
OR
A candidate who has passed three years course of Modern Office Practice, passed Punjabi as a compulsory subject in B.A. Part-I, II and III can get admission in M.A. Part-I, provided that he/she has not already passed M.A. examination in the same subject from this or any other statutory university.
