Overview

The UG Program in UX/UI Communication Design and Technology course aims to teach students to enter the communication design industry with theoretical, technical, and business knowledge. This UX UI design course equips students to apply principles of design to a range of communication challenges across different media, formats and contexts. Students learn to understand people in their socio-cultural settings and to devise strategies that lead to well designed communication products, systems, services and experiences.

UX & UI Design: The course seeks to address the rising demand for designers who can create meaningful interactions between humans and technology. The growth of the tech industry should meet the advancements in design practice. Graduates from this program will be equipped with knowledge of visual design, human behaviour, systems thinking, emerging tech, programming, as well as the practical know-how to deliver on the job. The user experience (UX) design course will equip students with the specialized skills to build desirable product-service ecosystems, digital products and holistic experiences based on a human-centred design methodology. The curriculum equips students to follow through on the complete product development cycle: from problem definition all the way through delivery and evaluation.

An Undergraduate (UG) Program in UX/UI Communication Design and Technology is a specialized educational course that combines the fields of user experience (UX), user interface (UI) design, communication design, and technology. This program is designed for individuals who have a passion for creating engaging and user-centric digital experiences through effective visual communication.

The program covers a wide range of subjects, including UX research, information architecture, interaction design, visual design, UI prototyping, usability testing, branding, typography, and coding. Students learn about the principles and methodologies of UX/UI design, human-computer interaction, and the integration of visual elements and technology to enhance user experiences.

The program combines theoretical learning with practical hands-on experience. Students engage in projects, workshops, and industry collaborations where they apply UX/UI design techniques and tools to create visually appealing and user-friendly digital interfaces. They learn about wireframing, prototyping software, design thinking, and best practices for creating seamless and accessible user experiences.

Throughout the program, students gain an understanding of user-centered design approaches, storytelling through design, and the application of visual communication principles to enhance the effectiveness of digital interfaces. They develop skills in conducting user research, analyzing user data, creating engaging visual designs, and implementing their designs using front-end coding languages.

Upon completion of the program, graduates can pursue careers as UX/UI designers, interaction designers, visual designers, communication designers, front-end developers, or digital strategists. They have a comprehensive understanding of UX/UI design principles, technical proficiency in design software, prototyping tools, and front-end coding, and the ability to create impactful and user-friendly digital experiences that align with business objectives.
