The University of Delhi established the Department of Distance and Continuing Education (DDCE), Faculty of Open Learning, and Open Learning Development Centre (OLDC) under the aegis of the Campus of Open Learning/School of Open Learning, University of Delhi in 2022. The DDCE is a consortium of departments/fields of study, such as the Department of Commerce, Department of Economics, Department of Education, Department of English, Department of Environmental Science, Department of History, Department of Hindi, Department of Political Science, Department of Punjabi, Department of Sanskrit and Department of Urdu, Department of Business and Financial Studies, Department of Library and Information Science, Department of Computer Science and Department of Psychology.
The School of Open Learning offers a number of scholarship programmes to help students with their academic endeavours. These consist of the DSE Merit (Economics), National Scholarship (Economics), University Post Graduate Scholarships (UPGS), and India Post Graduate Scholarships (AIPGS). The South Campus Endowment Scholarship is one of these grants, given to worthy South Campus students on the basis of their merit. For ten months, this SOL-DU fellowship provides a monthly stipend of INR 250.
The Three Rotary Club Scholarships, which are only offered to South Campus postgraduate students, are another prestigious SOL-DU scholarship. For a year, recipients of this scholarship will receive a monthly award of INR 1000.
