Master of Business Administration in Agri-business (MBA – Agri-business) offered by ASBM University is a two–year full time programme spread over four semesters. Emphasis is given here on rural immersion module, case analysis and presentation with multi-disciplinary approach to sharpen the managerial skills required to manage agriculture and allied activities as a business.
In addition to general business management, the students will be exposed to different facets of agri-business, such as agricultural & rural economics, agrarian policies & laws, agro logistics & supply chain, ICT in agri-business, agro-finance, commodity futures & derivatives, agro risk management, pricing of agro-products, agro & rural markets, e-commerce for agro-products, agro-technology management, agripreneurship etc. After completion of the programme, the students can enter an array of specialised career options in various sectors such as corporate agriculture, food processing, agro-marketing, FMCG, banking, marketing analytics, CSR, dairy, horticulture, floriculture, agro-tourism, agro export & import and so on, in addition to becoming agri-entrepreneur.
ASBM University believes in holistic development of its students. Hence, in addition to studies and curricular activities, the students are encouraged to participate in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities like conferences, seminars, lectures, debates, cultural programmes, social responsibility activities, games, festivals, etc. Conferences and seminars are conducted regularly on different subjects to update the knowledge base of the students.
